 India Inc. stands at the crossroads of a wave of transformation. While the last couple of years have brought out India as an integral part of a developing world economy, playing a major role at both the demand and supply sides, the current market conditions have posed a challenge for India to be able to continue its high growth trajectory.
Inflation and interest rate directions are troubling, rupee is weakening, and the overall environment is uncertain. At one end, investments have dried up, but at the same time everyone is confident about the long-term prospects of the country. There are several sectors which are full of potential to be realized in the coming years, and now is the need to focus on development of these areas. The times to come are all set to redefine the way banking is done in the country, the state the infrastructure is in, the contribution core sector makes to the economy, and the economic disparity that exists between social classes.
The first edition of FinEtune aims to address the aligned issues and
present a roadmap for India Inc’s next set of strategies from the best
young brains in the country. The students of MDI have come forward
through this journal to express their opinions and thoughts on 9
burning issues in the present scenario. The current situation that the
world is in is a result of irresponsible behaviour on the part of the
behemoths of the financial world as well as complex finance mechanisms.
